Boarding is a valuable service that we at Barrington Animal Hospital provide for many busy and mobile families. It is particularly valuable for pets with medical problems because we are able to give these special pets the attention and medication they need.

Boarding Admission

Our boarding admission form gives you the opportunity to describe any individual needs your pet may have during their stay. Current health concerns, medication directions, feeding instructions and emergency contact information are all included on this form. We encourage you to bring your petýs own food and anything from home to make your pet feel more comfortable during their stay.

Our Boarding staff keeps close track of your pet during their stay. Every day we monitor attitude, appetite, urination, and bowel movements. Every three days we re-weigh your pet, and of course, we provide plenty of attention on a daily basis.

Twice daily, our boarding staff spends quality one-on-one time with each of our guests. Group Play Sessions are also available for socially-inclined boarding guests. These sessions are also given twice daily under the close supervision of our staff.

Barrington Animal Hospital is very proud to offer Special Needs Boarding. A significant number of pets that board with us have medical conditions. Our ability to give medication and monitor their condition is one of the primary reasons people board their "special needs" pets with us. We are able to administer oral medications, injections, and provide fluid therapy. Our staff is highly trained and works under the direct supervision of veterinarians.

We now have a dedicated area on the second floor of our hospital that is designated for our feline guests. This area is cozy and quiet, with windowsills to sit on that offer plenty of warm sunlight. Most importantly, no dogs allowed!

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Departure after 5:00 PM constitutes an additional day's boarding fee.
